Mummy wants to Raise a Reader

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Mummy feels that it is never too early to steer you toward books. My goal is just to let you knows that reading is a joyous event for you and to help you learn to love books and stories. Mummy loves to read to you though your attention span is very short, maximum is only 5 minutes. Mummy loves it when you just flip the books on your own. Mummy hopes to find more interactive story books for you and help you to develop a deeper love for reading. =)

Ethan's First Day in Infant Care Centre on Monday 1 November 2010

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Today is the first day that you are attending Infant Care Centre. Mummy feels bad to leave you in a whole day Infant Care Centre but we got no choice. We hope that you will adapt to the new environment soon and love your new teachers and friends. Mummy feels more relieved when I saw you enjoying playing happily with your friends till you don't want to come home with me. =)

Ethan is Walking on His Own Without Any Support from Tuesday 9 November 2010

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Daddy and Mummy are so elated with the little surprise that you gave us this evening. You was walking on your own without any support from your walker or anybody. You was so confident and refused to let anybody holds your hand. Mummy have so much to learn from you. Though your steps were unstable, you still continue walking. Though you fall down, you are not afraid and still continue to get up and walk again by yourself. Daddy and Mummy are so proud of you.

Ethan is Learning to be Independent

Dearest Ethan Baby,

When you was a brand-new baby, you was completely unaware that Mummy and you were two separate beings. But over time, as you developed various physical, mental, and emotional skills and grown more confident, you started to figure out that you are your own person with your own body, thoughts, and feelings. Of course, that means you are increasingly wants to do things your own way. You are learning to be independent. =) Mummy is excited witnessing you growing to be independent.

Napping Time for Ethan

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Do you know that your napping time is one of the small luxuries for Mummy because I will be using this precious short time to rest and recharge myself. But you have begin to resist taking naps ever since you turn one year old. Not only that, your growing independence is also leading a fuss at bedtime, too. Mummy tried to follow a bedtime routine, which include a bedtime story, hoping that it will give you the comfort of knowing what to expect at bedtime and help settle you to sleep. Whatever Mummy is doing, is all for you. Mummy loves you!

Mummy!
