Ethan is Learning to be Independent

Dearest Ethan Baby,

When you was a brand-new baby, you was completely unaware that Mummy and you were two separate beings. But over time, as you developed various physical, mental, and emotional skills and grown more confident, you started to figure out that you are your own person with your own body, thoughts, and feelings. Of course, that means you are increasingly wants to do things your own way. You are learning to be independent. =) Mummy is excited witnessing you growing to be independent.

Mummy!

Napping Time for Ethan

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Do you know that your napping time is one of the small luxuries for Mummy because I will be using this precious short time to rest and recharge myself. But you have begin to resist taking naps ever since you turn one year old. Not only that, your growing independence is also leading a fuss at bedtime, too. Mummy tried to follow a bedtime routine, which include a bedtime story, hoping that it will give you the comfort of knowing what to expect at bedtime and help settle you to sleep. Whatever Mummy is doing, is all for you. Mummy loves you!

Ethan is So Curious about Anything and Everything

Dearest Ethan,

Mummy realized that you are very interested about anything and everything in this world, in particular, how everything in it relates to you. You also want to assert your independence by refusing to let me hold your hand when you are walking by yourself or by throwing a tantrum when I tell you that you can't walk into the kitchen. Daddy and Mummy feels that you are growing up into a big boy and can't feel so excited with you! =)

Mummy!

Reading to Ethan Daily

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Though most of the children aren't taught to read until age 5, Daddy and Mummy wants to start reading to you when you are less than 1 year old because studies of brain development indicate that the best time to begin reading to children is when they are between the ages of 3 months and 3 years. Yes, Daddy and Mummy are always very lazy to read to you every night after our work but we will try our very best to do so because we don't want to miss this best time for you to start absorbing and learning. We love ya, Baby!
