Ethan is a Picky Eater!!!

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Everybody said that you have slim down a lot and Mummy feels so, too especially after three weeks of being sick with poor appetite. You are so picky nowadays that even a tiny little bit of vegetables is not allowed on your bowl. Your favorite food are chicken rice, fried egg and fishball for the time being. If it is not any one of those, you will refuse to eat it. Mummy hopes that it is only a phrase that you are in now because you need different types of nutrients to grow up and be healthy boy. =)

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Mummy is angry with you tonight because you insisted on your way on the bed. Mummy shows you a very angry look and I was surprised at your reactions. You came out next to me and tell me "Mummmmy don't angry, Sorry Sorry". My heart become soft like tofu immediately upon hearing that from you but I pretend not to show that. You even stroke my shoulder gently while saying that. Baby, you are growing up. =)

Dearest Ethan Baby,

You are so adorable when you went to NTUC with us tonight. You were helping us to push the trolley basket with your tiny hands. Daddy places a big packet of kitchen towels into the basket. You carry and place back the big packet of kitchen towels into it original place. You told us that it is too big for the basket and we should not buy it. You sound so serious. Daddy and Mummy can't stop laughing when we heard that from you.

Dear GOD,

Please help me to be the mother that you want me to be for Ethan. Sometimes I wonder if I am doing the right thing. Sometimes I wonder if I should be more easy on him. Sometimes I wonder if I should be more stricter. GOD, please guide me along as Ethan grows up. Please help me to nurture him into a happy young man who loves you and bring blessings to the people around him. Thank you LORD.

Dearest Ethan Baby,

You loves Mickey Mouse so much nowdays till Mummy is also being influenced by you. You loves to watch Mickey Mouse's videos and loves to hug Papa Mickey Mouse and Baby Mickey Mouse to sleep. You will ask me where are the mouses when you don see them on your bed. Mummy hopes to bring you to Disneyland soon so that you can meet the Mickey Mouse Mascot. I am sure you will be extremely happy and excited to see Mickey Mouses all around you. =)

Happy 2nd Birthday to you, our dearest baby! Daddy and Mummy looks forward to celebrate your third year birthday with you. Daddy and Mummy wanted to bring you to a lot of places in Sentosa but you are sick. Thanks GOD that your fever had subside this morning but you looks so moody and cranky. You was clinging on to Mummy during the whole day and was so anti-social to all our guests. My heart feels so pain when I see you being so sick. Mummy wishes baby speedy recovery!

Happiness & Unhappiness

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Mummy needs to learn that it's okay for you to be unhappy sometimes because it's simply part of life. Swooping in to vanquish your unhappiness may sends the wrong message to you that it's not okay to feel sad or mad. Solving every problem for you may also robs you of the opportunity to work through your feeling on your own. You are beginning to understand more and more of the words you hear, yet your ability to articulate your feelings and needs is limited. Mummy can't assure you that you will always be happy nor can Mummy take away your unhappiness but Mummy assure you that I will walk through with you each unhappy, sad and unpleasant experiences.
