Just a Note to Ethan on Sunday 15 May 2011

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Mummy needs to always remind herself that you are just only a 18th month old toddler. Baby, I love you but sometimes I feel so lost and do not know what to do with you. I do not know whether you did it on purpose or not. I do not know how exactly are you feeling. Mummy loves you and treasure every single moments with you. May GOD continue to guide Mummy to bring you up well in GOD's ways. Amen!!

Love You Always,
Mummy!

10 Commandments for Daddy and Mummy to Alway Remember

A Constant Reminder for Daddy and Mummy to Ethan Baby

(1) My hands are small; don't expect perfection whenever I make a bed, draw a picture or throw a ball. My legs are short; slow down so that I can keep up with you.

(2) My eyes have not seen the world as yours have; let me explore it safely; don't restrict me unnecessarily.

(3) Make time for me. Housework will always be there; I'm only little once.

(4) I have feelings too; don't nag me about my inquisitiveness. Treat me as you'd like to be treated.

(5) I'm a gift; treasure me as God intended. Hold me accountable, give me guidelines to live by, discipline me with love.

(6) I need encouragement to grow, not empty praise. Go easy, you can correct the things I do without putting me down.

(7) Give me the freedom to make decisions, even if they're not always right. Permit me to fall, so that I can learn to walk.

(8) Don't redo things I've done; that makes me feel like my efforts don't measure up to your expectations. And don't compare me with others; I'm me, not them.

(9) Don't be afraid to leave for a weekend together. Kids need vacations from parents, just like parents need vacations from kids. Besides, it shows us that your marriage is something special.

(10) Take me to God's house and introduce me to Him, because I'm going to need Him for the rest of my life.

Amen!

Cooking for Little Ethan Personally

Dearest Ethan Baby,

Mummy feels so heart pain to discover that Aunty Lyn lets you eat PLAIN porridge and rice sometimes. Although you don't appear to be undernourished nor skinny, Mummy can't help it but still feel so heart pain. Mummy decided to cook for you personally no matter how busy or how tired I am unless I really can't do it. Mummy also wants to make sure that you have a balanced diet of fish, meat and vegetable daily. Mummy loves you very much and want you to grow up being a healthy boy.

Love Always,
Mummy!

Ethan Finally Call "Mama" on Sat 1 May 2011

Dear Ethan Baby,

Finally you called me Mama. Mummy was waiting and waiting. You called Papa months ago with a loud and clear voice but just not Mama. No matter how many people asked you, persuade you or talk to you, you just don't call me Mama. Mummy was feeling so sad and disappointed. To my surprise, you finally called me Mama. I feel so happy to hear that. =)

Love Always,
Mummy

Before I Was a Mom

Before I was a Mom, I never tripped over toys or notice of any baby fairs/sales. I didn't worry whether or not my pronouncation was accurate.  I never thought about immunizations.

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on, pooped on, chewed on, peed on.  I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.  I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never comfort a crying baby so doctors could give shots.  I never looked into teary eyes and cried.  I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.  I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.

Before I was a Mom, I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.  I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I saw a baby fall from the bed. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.  I never knew that I could love someone so much.  I never knew I would love being a Mom.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.  I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.  I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.

Before I was a Mom,I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.  I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonder mentor the satisfaction of being a Mom.  I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom. =)
